Reopening With Care
OUR CLEANING SCHEDULE CAN BE FOUND HERE
Re-Opening June 8!
We are so excited to announce that we will be re-opening with a few restrictions on June 8! Though Cass County's Phase 3 date was moved up to June 1, we are keeping with our original plan of opening on June 8. We are using this time to train our staff on new policies, procedures, and cleaning standards. We're also making sure that the renovations that are currently taking place in our open spaces are cleaned up enough to not pose any tripping hazard for our returning members.
Find information about our phased re-opening here. If you have questions, feel free to give us a call between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
See you at the Y! (It feels SO GOOD to say that again!)
Pickleball
The Pickleball phenomenon is in full swing at the Cass County Family Y! Whether you're already experienced or you want to learn, our players would love to have you join them!
This game combines tennis and ping-pong and is great for all ages and fitness levels.
No equipment needed to get started. We have everything you need. Members play for free. Non-members pay only $2! Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am to 11am. Come check it out!

Phase one is drawing to a close. The areas that previously housed the Fitt Pit, hot tub, the activity center, and the yoga room have been fully gutted and renovated. These spaces are now 3 multipurpose rooms to house classes of all kinds. Multipurpose Rooms 1 and 3 have rubber foam floors for impact absorption. Multipurpose Room 2 has an oak celing and wood laminate floor as well as dimmable lighting. Each room has Bluetooth enabled speakers for your music! The new auxiliary gymnasium is still under construction, but looks to be close to completion!

As we receive updated timelines from our project manager/contractor and subcontractors, we will keep you up to date so that you can know what to expect and plan your visits accordingly. This is what we know right now:
Construction will begin on the west side of the facility in the areas that currently house the racquetball courts, Fitt Pit, hot tub, Youth Activity Center, playplace, and yoga studio. The playplace will be dismantled beginning on Tuesday, September 3rd. The Fitt Pit equipment will be moved downstairs into the Spin area. The racquetball courts, hot tub, and Activity Center will be closed beginning Monday, September 16th. The yoga studio will close at a point in time yet to be determined for its own renovation.
The renovation of the west end is expected to extend through December and it may be January before it reopens. As with any renovation, surprises and construction gremlins can always arise.
While the Playplace is out of commission, we invite families to rediscover our outdoor playground! A donation by the Cass County Community Foundation allowed us to build a play area that features three slides, a climbing wall, a tower, ground level play options, and a gaga ball pit!

Great news! While we are still raising funds, our Board of Directors decided unanimously on Wednesday, August 21st to move forward and give our contractors the green light to begin renovations. Our own maintenance staff, led by Tony Hayden, have already begun some of the prep work in an effort to keep costs as low as possible. So, you'll likely hear some banging and clanging and maybe see some temporarily closed areas while that work is underway.
The renovations are starting in our basketball courts and will begin Tuesday, September 3rd! No part of the courts will go untouched. You'll see new basketball goals, center curtain, all new paint, and a fully refinished floor. Think the Berry Bowl's new gym floor is beautiful? The same company, Four Star Floor Care, will be giving us a spectacular makeover. We'll keep you posted on progress and the re-open date!
The YMCA will remain open during this renovation.
Be sure to check back here often as we announce timeline dates as they are agreed upon by contractors and subcontractors.
It's time to get excited! Have a look at the hard work that has already begun!
