Share Your Y Story!
The Y brings about meaningful change. We work to make sure every child, family, and adult has what they need to achieve their best. Each member’s experience here is unique and we would like to hear yours. Your story is an inspiration to others that demonstrates what the Y can really do for individuals, families, and communities.
Did you learn to swim at the Y? Maybe you recently moved here and made new friends through a Y Fitness Class. Were you able to have your child experience a great Summer Camp because of our financial assistance program? Or perhaps you reached your goal weight after making a resolution to train at the Y.
Everyone has a story and it is worth sharing. You may inspire someone to follow the same path to better health and well-being. Will you please take a moment to share your story with us? Click here to submit your story! If we select yours for sharing, you will receive an exclusive YMCA t-shirt that can only be won by those who submit their story.
In Memoriam: Nelson J. Becker

It is with heavy hearts that we here at the Cass County Family YMCA bid a fond farewell to a former Board President, Nelson J. Becker.
Nelson Jaeger Becker, 76, sailed into heaven on April 7, 2017, in Naples, Florida.
Nelson was born September 16, 1940, the son of Edwin H. and Mary Lewis (Nelson) Becker in Logansport.
On December 28, 1984, at First United Methodist Church of Logansport, Indiana, he married Dixie (Logan) Becker, who survives in Logansport.

Cass County Family YMCA Celebrates 50 Years in Current Location, 125 Years in Logansport
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the Cass County Family YMCA’s current building. In preparation for celebrating this milestone, we dug into our history. We knew that our YMCA had existed at least two decades prior to this building being built. However, we were collectively floored to learn our true history. This YMCA isn’t just 50 years old. And though it was officially recognized in 1944, this YMCA is even older than our 77-year-old charter. As a matter of fact, the YMCA has been a part of Cass County for a staggering 125 years!
New Membership Type!
Here at the Cass County Family Y, we understand that not all households are alike. We have memberships tailored to single-parent households as well as households with two adults. But, increasingly, many homes have more than one generation living in them. Adult children don't always move away as soon as they graduate high school. Elderly grandparents are often cared for while living with their adult children. We recognize these situations and we are offering a new membership type designed to help keep everyone in the family active while also saving you some cash!
Starting now, a family can add up to two additional adults to their membership for just $10 per month per adult! That's a huge savings over the individual adult plans! Stop by to upgrade your membership to include your adult loved ones and let's make 2017 your family's healthiest year yet!
