CASS COUNTY FAMILY YMCA NEWS
Quarantine Workouts
Being stuck at home is no reason to stop being active. We will be posting workouts you can do anywhere every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Find them here: QUARANTINE WORKOUTS.
THANK YOU!
Your Membership Matters Now More Than Ever
The staff at your Cass County Family Y wanted me to reach out to you and extend our most sincere gratitude for your continued membership. Because of your support, we are able to open our facility as an emergency childcare provider for those workers at the front lines of this epidemic. Medical personnel, mental health workers, police officers, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics don't have to worry about the well-being of their children at this time. The Y is here for them, and through them, we are here for you.
We are also incredibly grateful to be able to support our own staff as they work to clean and sanitize the Y in preparation for your return. And believe me when I tell you that we miss you so much! This place just isn't the same without you.
Be sure to tune into our social media accounts. Our Program Director, Nick Latham, is creating workouts that you can do at home without special equipment. Stay active, wash your hands often, and pay attention to preventative measures and symptoms of onset outlined by the Centers for Disease Control.
If you have any questions about your membership, feel free to call us at (574) 753-5141 between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Contact Us!
Hey all! While we are closed, our offices are still staffed (practicing good social distancing) from 8am to 5pm, M-F. You can reach us via email or phone during those hours. Also, stay tuned for virtual workouts you can do from home and other tips for staying healthy!
FACILITY CLOSURE
Dear Cass County Family YMCA Community,
Over the past 24-48 hours, the state of Indiana has taken significant steps to keep the public safe as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to spread. Early Monday morning, Governor Holcomb ordered the closure of all bars, nightclubs, restaurants (except takeout/delivery), gyms in Marion County effective 9:00pm on March 16th, 2020.
As a result of this action, the Cass County Health Department has mandated that, the Cass County Family YMCA facility will be closed effective at 4pm on Tuesday, March 17th until we are cleared to open by the lifting of stay-at-home orders. Additionally, during closure, we will be conducting a deep cleaning and disinfecting our facility prior to reopening.
It has been a challenging week of change for all of us. We recognize that these actions are necessary to help prevent the spread of this virus. We also know that the programs that we run are important for our members and participants, and they contribute to making the community a better place. In an effort to help keep things as normal as possible for the many individuals we employ, we will be supporting our staff who help us achieve our mission each day during this closure. We ask that you please keep your membership active so that we can keep our community together and vibrant during these significant challenges.
We are hopeful that these significant precautions will help stop the spread of the virus and that we can begin to return to our normal routines soon.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
