COVID-19 Turkey Trot Plan
Turkey Trot in the Time of COVID
Hey Trotters!
Due to COVID-19, this year's Turkey Trot is going to look a bit different. Note that these plans are subject to change based on Health Department recommendations.
- NO Race Day registrations.
- Virtual Option! Avoid the gathering altogether. Run or walk with your immediate family and send us a picture of you crossing your virtual finish line or a screenshot of your tracking app. We'll post it on social media!
- Early packet pick-up. Avoid a line by picking up your shirt/bib before the race. Packets will be available starting Tuesday, 11/24.
- Due to group size restrictions, we will have staggered start times for groups no larger than 50 (or 25 if we get moved into red status)
- Remember that this is chip timed, so the staggered start does not impact your placement. Your time won't start until you cross the starting line!
- If you plan to walk the 4 mile route, please be here and ready to go with the first group at 8am.
- There will be no water stops on the route. You are encouraged to bring your own water.
- Masks are required to be worn until you start your run or walk.
- The Y will not be open, but there will be port-a-pots available.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be available.
- We will not be having food/coffee, awards, or ribbons this year.
- Results will be made available on our website the day of the race.
The Trot sure looks different this year, but the tradition is the same! Stay safe and healthy out there!
