CASS COUNTY FAMILY YMCA NEWS

#SelfieWithSomeoneNew

Selfie Post.jpg

Now, more than ever, we must continue to bring people together, find common ground and bridge divides in service of a better us. And here at the Y, we know that can start with something as simple as striking up a conversation with someone you’ve just met. This October, the Y encourages members, volunteers, staff and the community to meet someone new and discover what you have in common. Then, take a selfie and post it on Facebook or Twitter using #SelfieWithSomeoneNew. Together, we can inspire others—in our community and across the country—to come together for a better us.

Pool Closed for Repairs

POOL CLOSED FOR REPAIRS.png

After 50 years of service, our pool's original cast iron plumbing has thrown in the towel.

Crews are already on site and working on these extensive repairs. The pool is being drained in preparation for a large portion of the floor to be removed. Once that is done, the cast iron plumbing that was installed in 1967 will be replaced with PVC. Because of the number of variables involved, we aren't able to say with certainty when the repairs will be completed.

But, we want you to know that we are aware of how many people benefit from our pool and we are committed to investing in the kind of repairs and upgrades that will keep the pool open and available for exercise, play, and swim lessons for many years to come.

Thank you for your patience!

Share Your Y Story!

The Y brings about meaningful change. We work to make sure every child, family, and adult has what they need to achieve their best. Each member’s experience here is unique and we would like to hear yours. Your story is an inspiration to others that demonstrates what the Y can really do for individuals, families, and communities.

Did you learn to swim at the Y? Maybe you recently moved here and made new friends through a Y Fitness Class. Were you able to have your child experience a great Summer Camp because of our financial assistance program? Or perhaps you reached your goal weight after making a resolution to train at the Y.

Everyone has a story and it is worth sharing. You may inspire someone to follow the same path to better health and well-being. Will you please take a moment to share your story with us? Click here to submit your story!  If we select yours for sharing, you will receive an exclusive YMCA t-shirt that can only be won by those who submit their story.
